Types of Volunteer Activities:

Community Engagement

• Tabling at local events or festivals (sharing info, answering questions)

• Hosting or helping at town halls or issue forums

• Organizing community cleanups or service projects

• Supporting voter registration drives (even during off-years, especially for high school seniors or new residents)

Communications & Content

• Writing blog posts or newsletter content

• Helping with social media (graphics, captions, scheduling)

• Designing flyers, posters, or digital ads

• Photography or videography at events

Administrative & Research Support

• Data entry and list maintenance

• Compiling research on local issues or elected officials

• Tracking local government meetings and sharing recaps

• Helping build civic education materials

Fundraising & Outreach

• Helping plan fundraising events (virtual or in-person)

• Making thank-you calls or writing notes to donors

• Organizing merchandise or small-item giveaways

• Reaching out to local businesses or partners

Training & Organizing

• Leading new volunteer orientations

• Hosting meetups for specific groups (Young Dems, issue-based teams)

• Helping organize speaker series or workshops

• Facilitating book clubs or educational discussions
