Every year precincts are required to meet. This requirement and date is set by the DNC. We have 15 precincts in Harnett. To be recognized as an ‘organized’ precinct in the eyes of the DNC, NCDP and HCDP, a precinct needs to have had a meeting where at least 3 people attend and 2 are on the phone AND a chair, vice chair and secretary are elected. This election of precinct officers process happened every 2 years unless there is a vacancy in the officers or a precinct is becoming newly organized.

There are 15 precincts in Harnett; 11 are organized, 4 are not (BBQ/Spout Springs, Anderson Creek/Overhills, Anderson Creek/Flat Branch and West Averasboro). This annual precinct meeting will attempt to organize these precincts as well as confirm the other 11 are organized by having at least 3 folks present & 2 on the phone. All annual precinct meetings are Feb 28 at 10am.

If you live in the Stewarts Creek precinct, your precinct meeting will be held at Bunnlevel Fire Department, 6825 US 401 South, Bunnlevel. Just show up. No registration required.
