Five months after the election, Jefferson Griffin and the North Carolina GOP are still trying to steal the state Supreme Court seat that Justice Riggs already won fair and square. That win is because of all of you and our partner groups working arm in arm together.
Justice Riggs is fighting in federal court to protect everyone’s votes.
In the meantime, we’re getting ready for any possibility-- including talking to impacted voters about what actions they might need to take to cure their ballots.
If a cure process goes into effect, daily phone banks and canvasses will start on Saturday, April 26. Links will be shared at the launch.
As Justice Riggs said: “This does not just affect North Carolina… if we let this kind of anti-democratic effort take hold, we will not be able to contain it. So this is a fight for the very soul of democracy.”
